All of this is property that they don't own, and have no right to receive even if the previous person bought it legally (copyright does not allow distribution even if for no profit). Has our society slipped so far that we consider theft to be ok now?

Tina Turner
Though she is known more recently as a soloist, Anna Marie Bullock (Tina Turner) is known yet another great soul performer, along with her ex-husband Ike Turner. While still in high school, Bullock would go with her sister to area nightclubs and through much prodding by her sister, Bullock auditioned for Ike Turner and became a part of Turner's R&B soul band as an occasional vocalist with the Kings of Rhythm at his club. This was the stepping-stone for Bullocks, at the age of 18, career in R&B. Bullock went on to marry Ike Turner and changed her name to Tina Turner.
Her first opportunity in mainstream Soul music came in 1960 when the singer scheduled to sing "A Fool in Love", "It's Gonna Work Out Fine", "I Idolize You", and the groundbreaking "River Deep, Mountain High" didn't show for the recording. Young Tina was chosen to record it instead. However, her most memorable hit was a cover of CCR's "Proud Mary."
Some other fantastic female R&B soul singers are Chaka Khan, Patti Labelle, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, Patti Austin, Barbara Mason, Martha and The Vandellas, Denise Williams, and so many more. Many of these strong female artists started from simpler and harder lives yet through it all, they overcame all obstacles, prevailing with grace, and known now as some of the best female rhythm and blues vocalist to date.

Have you ever dreamed of becoming a singer and conquering the world? There are lots of different ways to singing stardom and reality TV is becoming increasingly popular route.
Crazy as it sounds, nowadays reality television offers an attractive chance for aspiring singers to be rise to stardom. Insanely popular singing shows like American Idol and its counterparts across the world are always on the lookout for gifted singers to entertain their growing audiences. These reality singing shows have the potential to skyrocket an aspiring singers career.
Don't forget that although many singers seem to shoot to stardom within a few short months, these people were highly talented singers to begin with. In almost all cases, show contestants had been working to develop their singing voice years before their lucky break. These people really have themselves to thank for their "lucky break" for having the guts and determination to participate in reality television programs. Woody Allen said it best, "Eighty percent of success is showing up".
Everyone knows that it helps to be well connected but just as you need to put yourself out there to meet influential people in the music industry, so too do you need to put yourself in the position to participate in television singing contests in order to be discovered. Don't misunderstand me. I'm not suggesting that becoming a singer is easy whether it be through television singing contests or by other means. Attending an audition for a television singing contest is by no means a guarantee of singing success. Singing competitions are highly competitive and it takes guts and hard work to compete on national television in front of a live jury and stand out among the competition. But the rewards are huge and I guess it's like anything in life, if you don't try, you may never discover your true potential.
