Baritone Ukulele Music

What kind of ukulele should I get? ie: soprano, alto, baritone?

I want a ukulele.
I hear they are relatively easy to teach yourself.
But what kind should I get? I have a music shop in my town, so I don't need help deciding on brand. I'm just curious, what is the difference between a soprano, alto, and baritone ukulele? I mean obviously the pitch, but is one harder to learn than the other? Which is best for a beginner?

No idea what an Alto is?

The standard uke sizes (in increasing size) are Soprano, Concert, Tenor, Baritone.

For me, I dont favour Tenor or Baritone as they are getting too close to guitar sounding - I like the traditional sound and size of the soprano and concert ukes. For a beginner, a concert is very much like a soprano but with slightly more room on the fretboard, so slightly easier to play.
